Well the best planner, is the one you’ll actually use. I’ll talk about weekly planners since it’s advised to publish weekly. (Not that I follow that advice)
This is what I tend to use my planner for
- Scripting
- Storyboarding
- Sketching
- Scheduling
- Screaming into the void
I don’t use my planner for drawing panels, but you can if you want.
My number on choice is the Hobonichi Weeks planner due to:
- Portability.
- Tomoe River Paper.
- The extra pages in the back can be used for scripting, scheduling or scheduling.
- Cool but pricey covers.

The second choice is Kokuyo Jibun Techno:
- Better for planning due to layout.
- The ‘thin’ paper is very nice as well.
- Weekly pages can be used for storyboarding.
If you’re lucky enough to have a store carrying any of these supplies, then definitely check them out in person. Also, I’m a stationary junkie, so let me know if there is a planner you recommend.

Finally there are two Midori planners I recommend.(sorry no pics of these) The first is the Midori Monthly thin planner. This is not a weekly planner, but you can design your own custom weekly layout in the graph pages. The back pages can also be used for all the webtoons pre-work as well. The second is the Midori traveler’s notebooks weekly or monthly planners.
